AHN TRIO

The beautiful and talented Ahn Trio - Angella, Lucia, and Maria Ahn - first gained public attention in 1987 when they were featured in the Time magazine cover story "Asian-American Whiz Kids." Originally from South Korea, the Julliard-trained trio features Angella on violin, and twins Lucia on piano and Maria on cello. They have also been featured on NBC and PBS and in The New York Times, GQ, Vogue, Town and Country and in Gap ads. In 2003, the Trio was included in People magazine's "Most Beautiful" issue. The Washington Post has described them as, "impressive . . . and they balanced unanimity and individuality in a spirit that is at the heart of chamber music."

"Ahn Plugged," the Trio's most innovative project, has enabled them to reach out to new audiences throughout the world. The project is a mixture of the Trio's passionate dedication to the commissioning and performance of contemporary music.
