Sox Harrison Stadium

Sox Harrison Stadium

In 1965, the Edinboro State College "Red Raiders" started the football season on the old field behind Crawford Gym and ended the year at the newly-completed Sox Harrison Stadium named in honor of B. Regis "Sox" Harrison, coach and athletic director from 1919 to 1953. The interior of the old spectator area, which seats 3,500, was closed in 1993 because of unacceptable asbestos levels. New bleachers added on the field's east side in 1995 boosted the facility's total seating capacity to 7,500. New locker rooms and a new press box were also added during the project.
