President's Residence
The President's Residence, located at 214 Meadville Street, is the official home of the University president. The house was built in 1885 on property that was acquired in 1865 for $25. Ownership of the house changed hands several times over the years before the college trustees exercised the option to purchase it in 1931. The residence underwent major renovations in 1934, again in 1989 when the kitchen area was enlarged, in 1993 when the front porch was rebuilt and enclosed, and again in 1998.
