Arts and Sciences Center

R. Benjamin Wiley Arts & Sciences Center

The Arts and Sciences Center was created to provide our students and faculty with contemporary learning environments that feature state-of-the-art teaching and learning facilities. Among the amenities are four auditorium-style classrooms, four technology-enhanced classrooms, four conference and seminar rooms, and two office complexes for the deans of liberal arts and science, management and technologies.

Eight of the classrooms include the "Smart Podium," a specially-equipped desk at the front of the room that enables faculty members to operate computer and audio-visual equipment from one convenient location.

From the distance education classroom, the University can link to a number of remote learning sites via high-speed digital phone lines. There are approximately 75 computers in the classrooms.

The building was dedicated in September 2004 in memory of former trustee and member of the Pa. State System of Higher Education Board of Governors R. Benjamin Wiley.
