A study of geologic processes in cold climates, with
an emphasis on glaciers. This course includes glacial
erosion and deposition, the indirect effects of glacia-
tion, nonglacial processes in cold climates, and the
effect of climate changes on plants and animals. The
laboratory work deals with the interpretation of gla-
ciers and cold climate landforms by maps and aerial
photography. Prerequisite: GEOS112 or equivalent. 2

endurance, various types of aerobic programs for

nutrition, warm-up, and principles of flexibility. It
also introduces weight training techniques that identi-
fy physiological considerations, lifting and spotting
fundamentals, selective and arrangement of exercises
and manipulating training leads, repetitions, and sets.
