Accreditation
Edinboro University of Pennsylvania is accredited by the
Commission on Higher Education of the Middle States
Association of Colleges and Schools, 3624 Market Street,
Philadelphia, Pa., 19104, 215-662-5606. The Commission on
Higher Education is an institutional accrediting agency
recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the
Commission on Recognition of Postsecondary Accreditation.
Other University accreditations and program approvals include:
the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition Coordinated Program by the
American Dietetic Association, the Master of Arts in
Rehabilitation Counseling by the Council on Rehabilitation
Education, the Master of Arts in Counseling, School Counseling,
Student Personnel Services and Community Counseling
programs, by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and
Related Educational Programs, the Master of Arts in Speech-
Language Pathology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing
Association, the Bachelor of Science in Social Work by the
Council on Social Work Education, the Bachelor of Arts in Music
by the National Association of Schools of Music, and the
Associate Degree in General Business Administration and
Baccalaureate Degree in Business Administration with
concentrations in Accounting, Comprehensive Business
Administration, Financial Services, and Marketing by the
Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs. The
baccalaureate programs in nursing are accredited by the
Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education and approved by
the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. The Master of Science
in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner joint program with Clarion
University of Pennsylvania and Slippery Rock University of
Pennsylvania is accredited by the National League for Nursing
and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Teacher education and school personnel preparation programs are
accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher
Education and approved by the Pennsylvania Department of
Education.
